In a remote region like Godadhar, Akhori (Ghansali), Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, many students and young learners lacked access to quality computer education and digital learning resources. Without proper computer training facilities, they struggled to acquire essential digital skills, limiting their academic progress, career prospects, and ability to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
To address this gap in digital education, Samoon Foundation established SCTI-02 (Samoon Computer Training Institute-02) in Godadhar, Akhori (Ghansali), Tehri Garhwal, which was inaugurated on 24 December 2021. Under the guidance of Centre Trainer Mr. Vikram Shah, Programme Coordinator Mr. Vijay Mohan Painuly, and with the support of Gram Pradhan Ms. Anita Devi, the institute introduced well-structured computer training programmes covering digital literacy, basic computer skills, and advanced computer applications. Through interactive learning methods, practical sessions, and continuous guidance, the programme enabled students to develop technical competencies, strengthen analytical thinking, and prepare for higher education and future career opportunities. The training programme was successfully completed on 31 May 2026, marking another significant milestone in Samoon Foundation’s mission to promote digital literacy and educational empowerment.
The programme successfully benefited 260 students, equipping them with essential computer knowledge, digital literacy, and practical technical skills. Participants developed confidence in using modern technology, improved their academic performance, and acquired the digital competencies required for higher education, competitive examinations, and diverse career opportunities in an increasingly digital world.
SCTI-02 marked a significant milestone in Samoon Foundation’s mission to promote digital literacy and educational empowerment in rural Uttarakhand. Through quality computer education and practical skill development, the institute successfully equipped 260 students with future-ready digital competencies, strengthening their academic and career prospects. Its impact continues through the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities gained by the beneficiaries, contributing to long-term community development and digital inclusion.
