In the remote area of Village Mankatiya, P.O. Man Soun, District Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, many students lacked access to reliable academic support and structured learning opportunities. The absence of nearby coaching facilities made it difficult for learners to strengthen their subject knowledge, prepare for competitive examinations, and build the confidence needed to pursue higher education and meaningful career opportunities.
To strengthen educational opportunities in the region, Samoon Foundation established SECC-02 (Samoon Excellence Coaching Centre-02) in Village Mankatiya, District Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, which was inaugurated on 02 June 2024. Under the guidance of Centre Trainer Ms. Sonia Kohali, who also served as the Programme Coordinator, the centre provided structured academic coaching, personalized mentoring, and continuous learning support. Through engaging teaching methodologies, periodic assessments, and learner-centric guidance, the programme enabled students to strengthen their academic performance, develop analytical thinking skills, and prepare effectively for higher education and competitive examinations. The training programme was successfully completed on 16 December 2024, marking another meaningful initiative in Samoon Foundation’s mission to promote educational excellence.
The programme successfully benefited 30 students, providing them with structured academic support, enhanced subject knowledge, and effective study techniques. Participants strengthened their examination preparedness, improved their academic performance, and developed the confidence and skills required to pursue higher education and future career opportunities.
With the successful completion of SECC-02, Samoon Foundation concluded another impactful initiative dedicated to promoting academic excellence and educational empowerment in rural Pithoragarh. By providing quality coaching and learner-focused guidance, the programme enabled 30 students to strengthen their academic foundation, enhance their confidence, and prepare for future educational and career aspirations. The initiative reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to expanding access to quality education in underserved communities.
