SCTI01 – Sumari Bhardhar (Tilwara), Rudraprayag

In a rapidly evolving digital era, students in Sumari Bhardhar, Tilwara, Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand had limited access to quality computer education and digital learning opportunities. Many students lacked access to nearby computer training facilities, making it difficult for them to develop essential technological skills and limiting their academic growth, career readiness, and ability to compete in an increasingly digital world.

To bridge this digital learning gap, Samoon Foundation established SCTI-01 (Samoon Computer Training Institute-01) in Sumari Bhardhar, Tilwara, Rudraprayag, which was inaugurated on 19 October 2021. Under the guidance of Centre Trainer Ms. Nikita, Programme Coordinator Mr. Vijay Mohan Painuly, and with the support of Gram Pradhan Mr. Umed Singh Chauhan, the institute introduced structured computer education combining theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on learning. The programme was designed to strengthen digital literacy, improve technical competencies, and prepare students for higher education and future employment opportunities. The first phase of the institute was successfully completed on 07 December 2023, this initiative is a testament to the foundation’s commitment to fostering digital literacy in underserved communities.

The programme successfully benefited 60 students, equipping them with essential computer knowledge, digital literacy, and practical technical skills. Participants gained greater confidence in using technology, improved problem-solving abilities, and developed the digital competencies required for academic advancement, higher education, and future career opportunities.

SCTI-01 became an important platform for promoting digital literacy and educational empowerment among rural students in Sumari Bhardhar. By making quality computer education accessible within the community, the institute helped students build future-ready skills, expand their career opportunities, and establish a strong foundation for lifelong learning and personal development.
