Across the rural region of Sour, Patti Bharpoor, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, a significant number of students and young learners lacked access to organized computer education and opportunities to develop digital skills. The absence of nearby computer training facilities restricted their ability to acquire essential technological skills, limiting opportunities for academic growth, career advancement, and participation in an increasingly digital world.

To strengthen digital education in the region, Samoon Foundation established SCTI-03 (Samoon Computer Training Institute-03) in Sour, Patti Bharpoor, Tehri Garhwal, which was inaugurated on 10 March 2024. Under the guidance of Centre Trainer Mr. Vijendra Kumar and Programme Coordinator Mr. Dhirendra Rawat, the institute provided structured computer education programmes focusing on digital literacy, basic computer skills, and practical computer applications. Through interactive learning, hands-on training, and continuous mentorship, the programme enabled students to build technical knowledge, strengthen digital confidence, and prepare for higher education and future career opportunities. The training programme was successfully completed on 02 April 2025, marking another significant milestone in Samoon Foundation’s mission to promote digital literacy and educational empowerment.

The programme successfully benefited 35 students, equipping them with essential computer education, digital awareness, and practical technical skills. Participants developed confidence in using technology, enhanced their computer proficiency, and acquired the digital competencies required for higher education, competitive examinations, and future career opportunities.

With the successful completion of SCTI-03, Samoon Foundation concluded another impactful initiative dedicated to advancing digital literacy in rural Tehri Garhwal. By equipping 30 students with practical computer skills and digital knowledge, the institute created lasting educational and career opportunities. The programme reflects the Foundation’s continued efforts to reduce the digital gap and promote inclusive growth through accessible technology-based education.
