Located in Village Kotsara, Patti Sitaunsyu, District Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, many children looked forward to opportunities to explore computer education, digital literacy, English communication, and engaging learning activities during their summer vacations. Providing structured educational experiences during this period could help them develop essential digital skills, build confidence, and make productive use of their vacation time.
To provide meaningful learning opportunities for rural children, Samoon Foundation organized a Free Summer Camp at Samoon Computer Training Institute (SCTI-05) in Village Kotsara, which commenced on 01 June 2026. The institute is currently running with 25 students actively participating in the programme. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of Pravasi Uttarakhandi Mr. Aman Bisht, who is also serving as the Programme Coordinator and Centre Trainer. The camp offers training in computer fundamentals, digital literacy, basic English communication, typing, and other educational activities, while also encouraging participation in cricket, football, team games, and interactive learning sessions. A unique feature of the programme is the exchange of knowledge between children from metropolitan cities and local village students, creating an enriching environment of collaborative learning, cultural exchange, teamwork, and mutual growth.
The Summer Camp continues to provide children with an engaging platform to develop digital literacy, communication skills, and practical computer knowledge while participating in recreational and team-building activities. The initiative is actively enhancing students’ confidence, encouraging collaborative learning, promoting social interaction, and inspiring children from diverse backgrounds to learn from one another in a positive and enjoyable environment.
The Free Summer Camp at SCTI-05 reflects Samoon Foundation’s commitment to creating innovative learning opportunities that combine education, technology, and recreation. Through the generous support of Mr. Aman Bisht, the initiative has been promoting digital empowerment, confidence building, and holistic development among rural children. The programme is currently running successfully and continuing to inspire young minds, strengthen friendships, and create lasting educational impact.
